About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our Power Systems team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative energy solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the Power Systems subject matter expert for the UK, providing technical expertise and input on various stages of client projects.
  • Work on feasibility stage electrical designs for new connections or upgrades, including HV connections for new energy centres and EHV connections for battery storage/renewable projects.
  • Perform technical reviews and prepare technical documentation and studies.
  • Build a team around you to support detailed analysis of power systems as required.
  • Support energy masterplan studies on pathways to decarbonisation, providing expert advice on future loads, feasibility of proposed solutions, and impact assessment on the grid at local, regional, or national levels.
  • Keep up to date with policy/regulation changes that might impact power systems solutions.
  • Perform Due Diligence and Owner's Engineer activities for client projects.
  • Project manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Keep up to date with the latest ancillary/balancing/flexibility market services for industrial, renewable, and battery storage projects.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in power systems engineering, transmission, distribution, or consulting. You should have a working knowledge of grid code compliance requirements, high-level modelling of new connections, and experience working with DNO standard documents.

You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of addressing the green transition and offers a holistic approach to energy that supports the sector on the journey towards more sustainable solutions.
