Senior Associate or Associate Director Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Associate Director Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering and design challenges for buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake power systems analysis on HV, MV, and LV distribution for small and large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Design calculations for assessing electrical loads on buildings, sizing utility connections, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, and renewable technologies
  • Use a variety of software, including CAD electrical ETAP, Amtech, or EOM, to model complex networks and run advanced power systems studies
  • Contribute to the professional development of individual team members and lead self to identify opportunities for career growth
  • Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered
Requirements:
  • Experience in relevant design software, including ETAP or similar software and Amtech or EOM LV system analysis software
  • Power quality capability to undertake studies for G99 export applications, including Harmonics
  • Ability to produce schematic designs, fault discrimination studies, prepare specifications and reports, and carry out site inspections of surveys and detailed design development
