About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Professional to join our team at Southdown. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their everyday needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, taking into account the individual's needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements
- Full Manual Driving Licence
- Previous experience in care or support work, preferably in a similar setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
