Position Title: Emotional and Social Support Assistant

Location: Sutton

About the Role: Protocol Education is collaborating with a remarkable educational institution in Sutton that serves students with diverse disabilities and special educational needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional and behavioral challenges. Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Possess a resilient attitude and the capability to confront and overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrate compassion and patience when engaging with children with SEN.
  • Exhibit confidence to take initiative when necessary.
  • Previous experience with young individuals facing various SEN is preferred.
  • Availability to commence work promptly.
  • Possession of a Team Teach qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create a supportive atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators and Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) to design and implement personalized learning and care plans.
  • Track and document student progress, reporting to the school's SEN team to achieve set objectives.
  • Establish strong relationships with students to foster trust and engagement.

Compensation: All quoted pay rates will include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
