Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Police Liaison Officer to join our team at Humankind. As a Police Liaison Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use, working closely with Police colleagues to provide specialist, tailored support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance to individuals who may have transgressed the law but do not require prosecution.
  • Work closely with Police colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Offer tailored guidance in minimising harmful behaviour and support individuals into services as needed.
  • Take a whole-person, holistic approach to ensure every service user's package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of substance use and harm minimisation strategies.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
