About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Barclays Bank UK PLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing change projects that drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with senior management, project teams, and external partners to ensure project progress and stakeholder needs are met.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring they are properly resourced and equipped to deliver project objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budget.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure successful project implementation.
Vice President Expectations
  • Strategic Advice: Provide strategic advice to key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Risk Management: Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other areas of work to support business-aligned activities and strategies.
  • Problem-Solving: Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Relationship Building: Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing change projects, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Advanced understanding of programme/project management, process improvement, and Agile methodology.
