About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brand and Design Executive to join our in-house creative team at Career Legal. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our brand is implemented consistently across all touchpoints, while allowing for necessary flexibility to support our business.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and brand management, with experience of working within brand identity guidelines. You will be responsible for creating innovative design solutions to support key projects and initiatives, and will oversee design agencies and support international colleagues in delivering high-quality materials that meet and extend our brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage tasks from the Brand Matters inbox, including designing a wide range of materials such as brochures, flyers, event banners, interactive PDFs, and more.
  2. Oversee outsourced tasks to external agencies, ensuring high levels of stakeholder management and design quality, while managing costs and workflows effectively.
  3. Provide design direction to colleagues across the firm and their external agencies as they implement the brand, managing training as required.
  4. Lead the development of our templates for key materials such as brochures, branded emails, and other marketing materials.
  5. Provide creative input, direction, and layouts for improvements and developments of our website, internal communications, events, and marketing activities.
  6. Coordinate a seamless ordering system for our printed materials, including branded items, brochures, and business cards, while liaising with in-house print suppliers/print room to maintain a high-quality in-house print solution.
  7. Ensure regular updates to our brand asset library in all formats and make suggestions for improvement where possible.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years working as a senior graphic designer with experience of working within brand identity guidelines or as a corporate Brand Manager.
  2. Excellent working knowledge of Adobe layout and design software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Knowledge of web/digital platforms would be an advantage.
  3. An in-depth understanding of the key elements of both print production and the production of online media.
  4. The gravitas to supervise more junior members of staff and be the design and brand leader.
  5. Experience of successfully managing design agencies, printers, and other suppliers.
  6. Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  7. A team player with the ability to establish rapport and credibility, remaining diplomatic but firm and resolute on brand positioning.
