Lead Specialist in Front Office Technology

Overview:

The Front Office Technology (FO Tech) division within SEQ Technology LLC plays a pivotal role in supporting essential operations across the front office. The Architecture Specialist and Lead will oversee the integration of third-party systems into the trading environment and develop specifications for internal software development. This position is part of a dynamic team focused on building, maintaining, and connecting front office systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The FO Architecture Specialist and Lead will collaborate with various Fixed Income desks, including Treasuries, Agencies, Investment Grade and High Yield Credit, Convertible Bonds, LATAM Emerging Markets, and Mortgage-Backed Securities, as well as Repo and Loans. The primary systems utilized in Fixed Income include:

  1. ION
  2. Bloomberg
  3. Broadridge Impact

Loan management platforms consist of:

  1. Centricity
  2. Promerit
  3. LMS Finance

Financial systems include:

  1. Finpro
  2. Smartloan

Market connectivity encompasses all major Fixed Income Dealer and Dealer-to-Client platforms.

The candidate will (in collaboration with the team):

  • Manage front-end on-premises ION infrastructure installations and updates.
  • Configure and sustain pricing and trading data feeds.
  • Exhibit expertise in FIX and other market connectivity protocols.
  • Diagnose network and logical connection issues.
  • Educate desk traders and internal support teams through demonstrations.
  • Engage directly with markets and service providers, and as necessary, with producers.
  • Create specification documents for developers to utilize and conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) of that code prior to deployment.
  • Handle change control requests.
