Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Cranleigh Scientific Ltd, a rapidly growing organisation dedicated to sustainability.
To be considered, you should hold a degree in mechanical engineering and possess experience with hydrogen applications and microwave processes.
We are looking for someone who can effectively manage their time, collaborate well with team members, and thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining a structured engineering approach.
- Collaborate with the senior engineering team to develop and test concepts for the microwave reactor and other essential sub-systems.
- Create general assembly drawings for the reactor and balance of plant sub-systems, integrating supplier drawings into internal files.
- Conduct mechanical stress calculations to ensure accurate specifications.
- Manage technicians in the mechanical fitting of components, generating work instructions.
- Support staff in operating equipment, including fault finding, data logger analysis, and system performance evaluation.
- Assist the engineering team in designing, specifying, and sourcing components for hydrogen generators.
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for hydrogen applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Conduct technical documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in an engineering design environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages for drawing creation and management (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Proficient in writing concise technical documents.
