Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at NISI. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and empathetic individual to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with our nursing and medical teams to provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, taking vital signs and reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients, ensuring they feel at ease and cared for.
  • Assist with bedmaking, tidying patient areas, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Support nurses with basic clinical tasks, such as wound care and applying dressings.
  • Prepare medical equipment and assist with routine medical procedures.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and observations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or care home setting (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature.
