We are looking for a committed and skilled Specialist in Palliative Medicine to become a vital part of our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering outstanding care to patients requiring palliative support in the South West region.


This position entails providing expert advice across various specialties and divisions, managing a substantial number of referrals each year.

The focus of the team is on intricate symptom management, emotional support, end-of-life care, and planning for discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical services on a 6-day rotation
  • Participate in the on-call service
  • Engage in educational and training activities
  • Contribute to clinical governance and audit initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:

  • GMC registration and inclusion in the Specialist Register for Palliative Medicine
  • Experience in acute care environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication abilities
