About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic and progressive paediatric team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with children and young people aged 0-19 who present with a range of speech, language, communication and feeding needs. You will provide high-quality speech and language therapy in close conjunction with families and other professionals working with the same client group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients with moderate to complex communication needs, and/or with feeding and swallowing difficulties in the community, at home or in special schools.
  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of clients.
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance and audit processes to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification.
  • HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with clients with feeding and swallowing difficulties, and developing and managing treatment plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
