About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Caseworker to join our team at St Giles Trust. As a Specialist Caseworker, you will provide support and advocacy for young people and their families, working closely with clinicians and hospital staff to ensure seamless transitions from hospital to community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide peer supervisory support to the team and deputise for the Senior Caseworker when required
  • Support the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with project monitoring purposes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, hospital staff, and other services
  • Identify and assess young victims of violence, producing support and risk management plans
  • Provide holistic support services, including social and housing support, benefits work, and debt advice

Requirements:

  • Personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group
  • Experience of providing support, advice, and advocacy
  • Substantial experience of assessing the needs of young people at risk of significant harm
  • Excellent IT, prioritisation, interpersonal, and communication skills
