Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Nurse to join our team in the Endoscopy Pre-Assessment department. As a Specialist Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing expert clinical advice and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives on patient conditions, treatment options, and review planning.
  • Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong clinical expertise and knowledge in endoscopy pre-assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
