Employability Skills Trainer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employability Tutor to join our team at LT Selection. As an Employability Tutor, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging teaching sessions to adult learners, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their employability skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality teaching sessions that cater to the diverse needs of adult learners, focusing on employability skills, career development, and personal growth.
- Conduct initial assessments to identify learner needs and develop tailored learning plans to ensure effective progress and achievement.
- Implement strategies to promote learner safety online, educate them on online risks, and empower them to protect themselves and others.
- Provide comprehensive Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners, utilizing their enrolment and induction information to create customized learning plans.
- Deliver thorough assessments and constructive feedback to learners, highlighting areas for improvement and providing structured verbal and written feedback.
- Ensure high-quality teaching sessions, leading to excellent learner experiences, strong achievement, and progression outcomes.
- Foster the development of broader work-related skills through job search sessions and embedding essential skills into teaching activities.
- Enhance learners' digital capabilities, building their confidence in using ICT tools to support everyday tasks and future advancement.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and records related to learners' training, progress, and achievements, including learner reviews, start of learning forms, attendance records, action plans/feedback, and other contractual paperwork.
- Integrate safeguarding, British values, Prevent duty awareness, equality and diversity, and health and safety considerations into the learning program.
- Support learners in developing their confidence, resilience, and understanding to maintain mental well-being.
- Stay current with sector-specific knowledge through continuous professional development.
- Travel to various delivery sites across the country, with the main base located at the Head Office in South Yorkshire.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification, such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.
- L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
- GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.
- IAG Level 2 or a willingness to work towards obtaining it.
- Proficient ICT skills.
- Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational environment.
- Experience with roll-on/roll-off delivery models.
- Ability to design and deliver innovative and motivational sessions focused on individual learner needs.
- Understanding of initial assessment processes and the ability to use this information to guide teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with different learning styles and the ability to differentiate teaching methods accordingly.
- Capability to motivate oneself and learners effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads efficiently.
- Initiative and flexibility in approach.
- Collaborative team-working skills.
- Full driving license, with national travel required.

- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (required)
Work Location:
South Yorkshire with regular travel required.
