Role Summary:
We are seeking a Client Relationship Analyst to join our Private Equity Services, Relationship Management team at Alvarez & Marsal Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee commercial operations for the Private Equity Performance Enhancement team while maintaining connections with broader European commercial initiatives across both PEPI and other divisions.
Conduct and enhance external research on organizations:
- Perform comprehensive company analysis, including general profiles, service reviews, competitive landscape, and industry segments.
- Execute fundamental financial assessments, including profit and loss evaluations, cost trend analysis, and benchmarking.
- Manage the research workflow, utilizing and mentoring a team of interns.
- Engage with senior personnel to gather sector-specific insights.
Develop and monitor market intelligence with an emphasis on the European landscape:
- Track forthcoming M&A activities by reviewing various news outlets.
- Establish external relationships that yield valuable market insights.
Assist in the Private Equity key priority account initiative:
- Monitor and assess the progress of Key Accounts through data consolidation and participate in account review discussions.
- Research trends and recent developments in the market, including Activists and Investment Banks.
- Own, maintain, and update various information databases.
Serve as the central knowledge management resource for Private Equity Services:
- Manage and update go-to-market documents and marketing materials.
- Maintain and refresh the case study repository.
- Oversee the "Request for Experience" process.
- Support A&M teams with external client proposals and presentations.
Contribute to content initiatives and client events within the Private Equity Services Relationship Management program, including:
- Assist in the planning and execution of client events in collaboration with Marketing.
- Support weekly Business Development / Targeting meetings and provide input for external deal communications.
- Aid in the development of content and data collection for industry or functional initiatives.
Act as the Salesforce administrator for Private Equity Services, including:
- Maintaining and enhancing pipeline dashboards/reports and assisting in data analysis and interpretation.
- Monitoring Salesforce usage and the opportunity pipeline.
- Delivering periodic KPIs from Salesforce and contributing to the annual review process.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Familiarity or prior experience in the Private Equity sector is advantageous, though a strong interest in learning about this field is essential.
- Basic financial literacy, including an understanding of profit and loss statements, key financial indicators, and revenue and expense trends.
- Experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, is desirable.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build strong working relationships with both senior and junior team members.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- A positive attitude, energetic approach, and self-motivation.
- Fluency in English is required (additional European languages are a plus).
- A university degree is necessary.
