Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time, 38.5 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
Rate of Pay: £11.70 per hour
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef in meal preparation.
- Prepare and serve meals to residents, staff, and visitors as required.
- Prepare breakfast items and serve as needed.
- Heat and serve supper food as required.
- Prepare sandwiches as directed by the Chef.
- Provide necessary crockery, cutlery, trays, and serving utensils.
- Ensure serving trolleys are clean and well-presented before use.
- Thoroughly clean serving trolleys after each meal.
Requirements:
- We provide training for the role, so prior kitchen experience is not necessary, although it is beneficial.
- A background in customer service or a people-oriented environment is desirable.
- Individuals who can work well in a team and independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Evidence of relevant training, such as health and safety, food hygiene, is beneficial but not required.
