Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the GBS campus.

Key duties will include:

  • Supporting the general facility operations to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for students and staff.
  • Undertaking general cleaning duties, including cleaning of floors, toilets, windows, furniture, and fittings, emptying bins and other receptacles, and removal of rubbish.
  • Performing suction cleaning, sweeping, and washing of all floor areas to ensure they are free from dust, dirt, litter, smears, and stains.
  • Ensuring waste bins and receptacles are disinfected and free from smears and odors, and safely segregating and disposing of rubbish in accordance with procedures.
  • Inspecting cleaning equipment before use and reporting any defects immediately, and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and returned to designated storerooms in a safe and tidy manner after use.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience working in a cleaning role in commercial premises.
  • Practical knowledge of using professional chemical products and cleaning aids on various surfaces.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse individuals.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work with a can-do attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for equipment and chemicals used.
  • Ability to work independently to meet the requirements of the role.
