Job Title: Electronic Engineering Consultant

We are a team of innovators and researchers at Nethermind, dedicated to empowering enterprises and developers worldwide to access and build on decentralized systems.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance printed circuit boards (PCBs) for advanced biometric systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PCB layouts for high-resolution imaging systems, focusing on sensor integration and secure data handling.
  • Create detailed PCB schematics and collaborate with electrical engineers to define component placement, routing, and signal integrity.
  • Implement and validate security features in PCB design, including secure boot mechanisms, encryption, and anti-tamper protections.
  • Conduct signal integrity and thermal analysis to ensure PCB designs meet performance requirements and maintain reliability.
  • Generate and maintain PCB design documentation, including schematics, layout files, and testing procedures.
  • Coordinate with fabrication and assembly partners to ensure PCBs are manufactured and assembled according to design specifications and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during prototype development and production.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in PCB design and layout, with a focus on high-resolution imaging systems and secure designs.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Autodesk Eagle, Altium Designer, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and signal integrity principles relevant to imaging and sensor applications.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles to ensure design quality and testability.
  • Familiarity with PCB fabrication processes and assembly techniques, including considerations for secure and precise sensor integration.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with flexible or rigid-flex PCB design for compact or integrated systems.
  • Knowledge of RF PCB design and EMI/EMC considerations relevant to sensor systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools for integration with device enclosures.
