Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Neighbourhood Group Worker to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our Children and Family Wellbeing Service, you will work directly with children, young people, and their families to deliver high-quality groups and courses in our Family Hubs and community venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging groups and courses to support children, young people, and their families in achieving their goals.
  • Work closely with colleagues, schools, and multi-agency partners to deliver multi-agency support and build professional networks.
  • Contribute to the planning, evaluating, and recording of group attendance, as well as the creation of informative handouts and public display boards.
  • Participate in training and shadowing opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families.
  • Good understanding of IT packages and ability to use our Management Information System.
  • Ability to work creatively and think outside the box.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
