Job Description

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Land Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for our clients in the housing development sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land procurement, with experience in negotiating with landowners, agents, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential land opportunities, conducting market research, and preparing appraisals for sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to source land opportunities.
  • Conduct initial assessments of land opportunities to determine their viability for development.
  • Carry out market research and appraisals to identify the best sites for development.
  • Obtain existing site records and coordinate land registry/ownership enquiries.
  • Prepare appraisals for sites using software.
  • Manage external consultants and coordinate the flow of information to agreed timescales.
  • Attend design team meetings and prepare planning documentation.
  • Liaise with planning department representatives and manage the discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in the industry, preferably with a construction company.
  • Must have a planning or surveyor qualification.
