Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager Sales

This role is a Monday-to Friday 08:30-17:30 opportunity that offers excellent, long-term prospects.

About the Role

As an assistant branch manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, handling sales inquiries, processing orders, and supporting the team and branch manager in driving sales and achieving targets collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the branch manager in achieving sales and profit targets.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the branch team to achieve their targets through effective coaching and empowerment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing preventive and corrective measures.
  • Manage day-to-day branch operations, including inventory, shrinkage, cash/credit control.
  • Support the delivery of business plans and strategies to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Support marketing activities in line with business strategy.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to branch staff, resolving issues and conflicts.
  • Monitor and evaluate branch performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints, escalating where necessary.
Requirements
  • Prior sales/customer service experience, preferably in a trades or wholesale environment.
  • Previous industry experience in a wholesale distributor or trade counter environment.
  • Ability to work on the phone, providing advice and looking for sales or upselling opportunities.
  • Stable permanent role, Monday to Friday.
  • Bonus scheme paid quarterly.
