Senior Criticality Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Criticality Consultant to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a critical member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on criticality safety assessment and ensuring the safe operation of our facilities.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in criticality safety and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance on criticality safety assessment and ensure the safe operation of our facilities.
- Lead the development of criticality safety assessments and ensure they are completed to a high standard.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and mitigate criticality safety risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in criticality safety and apply this knowledge to improve our safety practices.
Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent level of demonstrable technical capability.
- SQEP 3 with demonstrable experience in criticality safety.
- Excellent level of knowledge in the specialised field of criticality safety assessment.
- Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative, while supervising other members of the team.
- Strong communication skills, including multi-site working.
- Excellent teamworking skills, with ability to inspire the work of a team.
- Experienced in mentoring and developing technical skills.
- Excellent networking skills, maintaining network across the criticality field nationally.
