Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with our organisational goals, ensuring a diverse and sustainable income base from multiple streams, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, major gifts, and grant applications.
- Donor Engagement: Cultivate meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors, keeping them engaged and informed about the impact of their support. Enhance our donor stewardship program to ensure long-term support.
- Campaign Development: Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact fundraising campaigns, ensuring they are compelling and well-coordinated, with clear financial targets and strategic goals.
- Event Leadership: Lead the organisation of a range of fundraising events (both virtual and in-person), designed to inspire engagement from the community and generate vital funds to support our work.
- Budget and Resource Management: Take responsibility for preparing and managing the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maximising income generation.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all fundraising activities adhere to relevant legislation and best practices, while providing regular reports to senior management and trustees on fundraising performance and opportunities.
- Innovation and Growth: Explore new opportunities and trends in fundraising, bringing fresh ideas to expand our reach and maximise our impact. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding these initiatives across the organisation.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate fundraising professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fundraising, combined with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Essential skills and experience include:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a senior fundraising role, with a proven ability to develop and implement successful strategies across multiple income streams.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in motivating and guiding teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors, corporate partners, and community supporters.
- Proven experience in managing events, from concept to execution, and a track record of meeting income targets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and the use of data to inform fundraising strategies.
- Financial acumen, including experience in budget management and financial planning within a fundraising context.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,580 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience), a stakeholder pension scheme with Royal London, and a range of employee extras, including a Westfield Health Scheme and Canada Life Assurance.
