About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spiritual Care Leader to join our team at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Department of Pastoral and Spiritual Care, you will play a vital role in providing generic pastoral and spiritual support to our patients, carers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of pastoral support volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality support to our patients and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers to work across the diversity of religious faiths and non-religious world views.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote spiritual care and well-being within our hospitals.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of pastoral and spiritual support services.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective delivery of spiritual care services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local faith communities and organizations to ensure we are providing culturally sensitive and responsive care.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification in pastoral support, counseling, or social care.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of volunteer management and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
