Cresconova Labs is an exciting new learning environment that redefines traditional education by offering courses rooted in experiential learning and makerspace methodologies. We are seeking a Makerspace Manager and Instructor who is enthusiastic about engaging with students aged 8 to 18. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in teaching that emphasizes design thinking, course development for makerspaces, and experience with hybrid educational models. Interdisciplinary collaboration will be essential for success in this role.

We are looking for candidates who possess an entrepreneurial mindset in their educational approach and can bring this perspective to our collaborative, interdisciplinary, project-based courses. Successful applicants will demonstrate both content and pedagogical expertise, a commitment to teamwork, and a creative, adaptable approach to instructional design. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support instructors in delivering courses within the designated content area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards across all operations.
  • Manage a diverse array of tools and equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Rapid prototyping tools
    • Ceramics
    • Fabric design
    • Woodworking equipment
    • Desktop CNC machines
    • AR/VR technologies
  • Oversee machinery usage in all classrooms.
  • Work independently while maintaining open communication with the Chief Creative Officer.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on both in-person and hybrid course offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience with the specified age group or demonstrated professional competency.
  • Experience in teaching Architecture, AutoCAD, and 3D Design.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning methodologies.
  • A passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
  • Willingness to assume multiple roles within the educational environment.
  • Personal attributes that support the growth of children, including energy, creativity, flexibility, and patience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant academic or research field and/or professional experience in your area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to teach across various disciplines and subject areas.
  • Experience in fostering culture and community among both adults and students.
  • Proven experience in building collaborative relationships with external partners and organizations.
