About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Swaay Child and Adolescent Services Limited. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a positive role model, displaying empathy, creativity, and a sense of fun to the young people in our care.
  • Take a lead in ensuring that each child receives excellent standards of individualized care, tailored to their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Create and promote a positive culture within the home, fostering a sense of community and belonging among the young people and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of the young people.
  • Provide supervision, training, and motivation to the staff team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma or equivalent.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve).
  • At least 2 years' experience working with children/young people.
  • At least 1 year experience in a senior role with managerial responsibilities.
  • Experience and confidence working with challenging behavior (preferably with adolescents).

Salary: £28,500 - £34,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus sleep in and training allowance.

Shifts: 3pm – 11pm, 10am – 11pm, sleep in shifts.
