Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Blood Collection Specialist to join our Integrated Community Team, serving the Chesterfield and Dronfield areas.

The primary work location will be in Walton, with responsibilities extending to various regions within Chesterfield and, when necessary, parts of Dronfield.

This role entails a commitment of 15 hours per week, distributed over three mornings from 9am to 2pm.

We offer flexibility in working days to accommodate the needs of applicants. Importantly, this position does not require weekend work.

A valid means of transportation to travel between different sites where services are provided is essential for this role.

Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-focused care within the comfort of individuals' homes. Therefore, a strong interest and experience in this area are crucial.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently, demonstrating flexibility in their approach.

About Our Organization

Our mission is to provide community health services to a diverse patient population exceeding one million individuals in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ approximately 4,200 dedicated staff members, delivering care across 11 community hospitals and over 30 health centers, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes, and predominantly in patients' residences.

Throughout the pandemic response, we have successfully led the establishment of public vaccination centers in collaboration with various partners in health and social care.

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE English Level C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent)

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health/Social Care

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Willingness to complete the Care Certificate
