About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological services to older adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and formulation of complex mental health issues in older adults
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address the needs of older adults
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology or equivalent
  • Experience of working with older adults and adults with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of legislation and policy related to older adults and adults with learning disabilities
  • Membership of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Ability to use a computer and internet for word processing, keeping electronic notes, and other administrative tasks
