Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
  • Lead a team of catering staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the care team to understand the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, ensuring that our menu offerings meet their requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall dining experience for our residents.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Valid food hygiene certificate and knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
