Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operative to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of orders, as well as maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process orders accurately and efficiently, using a variety of systems including handheld devices and voice picking via a headset.
- Load, pick, pack, and unload duties, which may involve the lifting of heavy stock/products.
- Complete manual handling tasks and duties safely using pallet trucks and other mechanical handling equipment (MHE).
- Prepare orders accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality level.
- Check picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch.
- Support the operational efficiency, general housekeeping, and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
- Personal hygiene and appearance to be always maintained to a professional and acceptable standard.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
