With a current enrollment of 432 students, our establishment is dedicated to supporting pupils with various learning challenges, including those with physical and medical conditions. The East SILC operates across multiple locations, providing extensive outreach services throughout the city. This includes collaborations with primary and secondary educational providers, as well as specialized services for students with physical difficulties and medical needs.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Support Worker to enhance our dedicated Behavioral team at the East SILC John Jamieson School. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in supporting vulnerable students with intricate behavioral and communication requirements. Responsibilities will encompass assisting students within classroom settings, implementing targeted interventions for small groups, and collaborating with the Lead Behavioral Support Worker to establish effective systems across various sites.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and a positive, calm demeanor.
  • A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
  • Possession of an NVQ Level 3 in Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.

The successful candidate will primarily work at John Jamieson School but may be required to support initiatives at other SILC locations. This is a permanent role, subject to a 6-month probationary period.
