A reputable and established legal practice is seeking a proficient Legal Assistant to become a vital part of their active Commercial Property division. In this position, you will provide essential support to partners and the broader team, managing a range of administrative responsibilities and document preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, revising, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
  • Performing general administrative tasks to maintain client and case files, ensuring efficient office operations
  • Coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, and managing communications in the absence of attorneys
  • Preparing invoices for clients and engaging in billable work as required
  • Complying with the firm's established policies and procedures
  • Assisting with modifications to leases, contracts, and reports
  • Handling additional responsibilities such as Land Registry submissions, SDLT returns, and client updates
  • Regularly updating the deeds register for significant clients

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a commercial property legal assistant role
  • Exceptional typing abilities with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute and 80% accuracy
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, with strong telephone communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and specialized property legal knowledge
  • Highly organized, flexible, and capable of working effectively under pressure
  • A collaborative team member with a proactive mindset and good initiative
