About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team at Hales Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs and projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out structural analysis and design for complex structures using manual calculations and engineering software
  • Design in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Conduct structural condition surveys, prepare detailed reports, and devise remedial schemes
  • Manage projects from initial enquiry to project completion, including fee proposals, design, drawings, and specifications
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring project goals are met
  • Contribute to business management tasks such as QMS compliance and auditing
Requirements
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) status with ICE or IStructE
  • Minimum 3-5 years' structural design experience within a consultancy environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in managing projects and delivering quality designs
