About the Role
RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to join our IT Strategy & Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting cloud adoption across the organization, advising on solutions, building reference architectures, and providing implementation guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of cloud strategies and architectures to drive business outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud adoption opportunities.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions to meet business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud providers and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to teams on cloud-related matters, including migration, deployment, and management.
Requirements and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public cloud and public cloud architecture, and 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written, in English.
- Vendor- and technology-neutral, with a focus on achieving targeted business outcomes.
- A creative problem solver with strong leadership skills, inspiring and motivating others to drive results.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with project and financial planning.
Advantageous, but not a must
- German communication skills a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Knowledge of application development, service-oriented architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
- Experience working in agile teams in a cross-functional and international environment.
- Experience in data centre technologies.
- Active Directory & Network is a plus.
