Job Title: Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cardiac diagnostic services to patients in a large tertiary centre, district general, and community settings.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in cardiac physiology. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Independently practice with a high level of skill and autonomy in at least one field of tertiary cardiology.
  2. Provide effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
  3. Actively participate in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside the organisation.
  4. Participate in cardiac and associated medical research as integral to the role.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a BSc in Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science, and relevant experience at Band 6 level. You should have a strong background in cardiac physiology, with a focus on tertiary cardiology. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
