The National Trust is celebrated for its exceptional food and hospitality services. We operate numerous cafes, tea-rooms, and restaurants across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and we invite you to become part of our team. We are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Team Member to join our dedicated staff. In this position, you will play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience while contributing to the mission of the National Trust. Hours: This is a flexible 0-hour role, paid hourly, on a fixed-term basis. While we strive to provide a consistent work schedule, flexibility is essential as adjustments may be necessary to meet business needs. Weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required, but there are no evening or split shifts. Salary: £11.50 per hour. Duration: Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be part of a vibrant team at a beautiful estate. The estate features stunning landscapes, gardens, and unique historic buildings, along with cafes offering a variety of refreshments and light meals, both indoors and outdoors. As a Team Member, your primary focus will be on front-of-house operations, engaging directly with our visitors. You will warmly welcome and assist every guest at the café. With your passion for customer service, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence, you will ensure that each visitor enjoys a memorable experience. This dynamic environment requires strong teamwork and adaptability. You will be attentive to guests' needs, ready to assist them, and provide thoughtful recommendations. Maintaining high standards in food and drink preparation and presentation is essential. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that all displays and signage are accurate and visually appealing. Occasionally, you may assist the kitchen team with food preparation. We will provide comprehensive training, including food safety and allergen awareness, along with any necessary mentoring to support your success in this role.
