Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our team in London. As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire building commissioning process, including BMS and fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts for mechanical systems.
  • Develop and obtain third-party buy-in into project certification strategies specific to mechanical components.
  • Record detailed progress prerequisites for mechanical systems.
  • Populate and manage data in our project management software, focusing on mechanical aspects.
  • Conduct and report inspections and tests related to mechanical systems.
  • Assist in the development of design and commissioning documentation for tender and construction purposes, emphasizing mechanical elements.
  • Attend project and internal meetings, representing the mechanical commissioning perspective.
  • Arrange test instrumentation with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Assist in the development of tender submissions, emphasizing mechanical requirements.
  • Support projects during client discussions of a technical nature related to mechanical components.
  • Review technical papers/reports related to mechanical systems before publication.
  • Work closely with a general contractor's team to develop commissioning strategies and processes aligned with project objectives, focusing on mechanical aspects.
  • Conduct technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals related to mechanical systems.
  • Record and report meetings, particularly those involving mechanical commissioning discussions.
  • Provide routine progress reporting and final project close-out reports, focusing on mechanical systems.
  • Manage attendance and reporting of factory tests for mechanical components.
  • Arrange third-party sign-off as necessary for mechanical systems.
  • Provide technical advice to clients regarding project and operational risk related to mechanical aspects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of commissioning experience.
  • Individual drive, enthusiasm, and high attention to detail.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Creativity and an ability to problem-solve quickly.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.
  • Task and deadline-focused.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality project work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A commissioning professional certified by an accredited agency.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Data Center commissioning experience.
  • Commissioning certification preferred (CxA, CCP, BCxP, or CBCP).
  • LEED AP or LEED Associate.
  • Management/Commissioning Management.
  • Specific, relevant technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software such as Trace or IES.
