Senior Project Manager - Engineering

An opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join WR Engineering, a leading engineering company that delivers mission-critical solutions to the nuclear and healthcare industries.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects for WR Engineering, including project management, contract management, scheduling, cost control, resourcing & resource management, procurement, and project quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage engineering, design, and turnkey projects including contracts
  2. Ensure projects are delivered to budget and programme.
  3. Accurate project reporting and forecasting
  4. Manage suppliers and sub-contractors.
  5. Manage all project functions including design, engineering, procurement, sub-contracted manufacture, build, testing, and installation.
  6. Manage change in scope and ensure appropriate compensation is received.
  7. Plan and manage allocated resources through the project phases.
  8. Provide accurate project forecast reports and plans in accordance with company processes and procedures.
  9. Responsible for overall quality and management of projects and programmes.

Requirements:

  1. Able to achieve SC and/or DV security clearance
  2. APM Project Management qualification or equivalent
  3. Degree Qualification in an Engineering or other relevant discipline
  4. Substantial exposure to managing a variety of contracts (NEC3 or 4 preferred)
  5. Extensive project and programme management experience (in the region of 10 years)
  6. Experience within the nuclear or other heavily regulated industry (more than 5 years)
  7. Experience of managing sub-contract manufacturers in a heavily regulated industry
  8. Experience of delivering projects or programmes in accordance with a business quality management system
