Full time: Monday – Sunday 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Flexible to work, long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation.

Salary: competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance

We are seeking a Lead Nurse (Band 7) to become a vital part of our Surgical Inpatients team at London Bridge Hospital.

London Bridge Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility, designed to provide exceptional healthcare services.

Situated within a well-established healthcare network, the hospital boasts advanced clinical infrastructure, cutting-edge equipment, and a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive clinical pathways across various specialties, including Cardiology, Oncology, and Complex Surgery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and driven nurse with outstanding expertise in General Surgery to play a key role in enhancing patient care within our organization.

The unit comprises a 12-bed multi-specialty surgical ward, catering to diverse specialties such as Gastrointestinal, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Breast, Spinal, and Liver surgeries.

This position presents both challenges and rewards; the ideal candidate will possess experience in managing this specialized patient demographic while also applying a robust evidence-based approach.

The Lead Nurse will collaborate closely with the unit manager and matron to uphold high standards of nursing practice, ensuring alignment with our mission, vision, and national healthcare guidelines.

What you'll bring:

Proven experience in a surgical inpatient environment Background in staff education for General Surgery patients Valid nursing registration (First Level) with the Nursing & Midwifery Council Willingness to pursue relevant post-registration training ILS provider course completion required upon hire or within three months of employment Leadership experience in managing a team
