About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our product engineering team and drive the company's technical vision forward. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, executing the prioritized product roadmap, and advancing business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative culture and driving continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee planning and execution, balance quality with speed, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs). Implement effective engineering processes, technologies, and policies for sustainable growth.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with the CTO on engineering strategy, translating objectives into actionable plans that ensure our engineering efforts align with the company's overarching goals.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance, stay current with industry trends, and ensure best practices in architecture and technical direction.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, manage budgets, and develop top engineering talent.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, helping to grow our brand within the community.
  • Collaboration: Forge strong relationships with business counterparts, understand their needs, and share ownership of outcomes.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Educate and up-skill stakeholders and fellow engineering leaders.
About You

We're looking for a proven leader with significant experience managing a cross-functional, scaling engineering department and attracting top talent. You should have a strong product mindset and customer understanding.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading a high-performing engineering team and driving business growth.
  • Product Mindset: Strong understanding of product development and customer needs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP and Laravel; Python is a bonus.
  • Security Expertise: Excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure development principles.
