HGV Technician

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to play a key role in maintaining a high standard of repair for a range of specialist commercial vehicles.

About the Role

As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems, identifying and diagnosing defects on vehicles and ancillary equipment, and carrying out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard.

  • Diagnostics, fault finding and repair of vehicle electrical systems
  • Identify & diagnose defects on vehicles and ancillary equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues
  • Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on first time fix
  • Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required
  • Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles
  • Repair damage defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 qualification relating to commercial vehicle repairs (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a commercial vehicle environment (Essential)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams (Essential)
