About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Sprint Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues on a range of specialist commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems
  • Undertake timely repairs of HGVs in accordance with manufacturer technical standards and timeframes
  • Identify and diagnose defects on vehicles and ancillary equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues
  • Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on first time fix
  • Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required
  • Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles
  • Repair damage defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 qualification relating to commercial vehicle repairs (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a commercial vehicle environment (Essential)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams (Essential)
