Job Opportunity: Work Based Tutor in Construction

Chesterfield College is seeking a skilled and experienced Work Based Tutor to join our team in the Construction School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach, mentor, and assess Bricklayer/Groundwork Apprenticeships and NVQs
  • Manage a caseload of learners through all elements of their Apprenticeship Standard or NVQ
  • Liaise with internal colleagues for completion of other aspects such as Functional Skills
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners and employers

Requirements:

  • Current and relevant occupational competence in Brick and/or Groundwork occupations
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1 Award, IQAM)
  • Teacher qualification and internal verifier award (V1 Award or TAQA 401)
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional outlook
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required and undertake substantial travel
  • Driving license and own vehicle
