GP Pharmacist Leader

The ideal candidate will be an experienced general practice pharmacist who can lead and support a team of pharmacists in providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients in general practice. The successful candidate will work closely with practice GPs and the GL@GP Director to develop and implement clinical pharmacy services that improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy services, including structured medication reviews, chronic disease management, and medicines optimisation.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Work closely with practice GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide clinical pharmacy services that meet the needs of patients.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to less experienced pharmacists to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience of working as a general practice pharmacist, with a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy services and quality improvement initiatives.
- Leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead and manage a team of pharmacists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with practice GPs, other healthcare professionals, and patients.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services.
