Role Summary:

As a Lead Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee substantial and intricate projects, provide guidance to junior engineers, and enhance technical proficiency within a vibrant and skilled team.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage large-scale projects (including RIBA Stage 4 & 5 packages, renovations of existing structures, and external wall assessments) while collaborating with a team of engineers and receiving support from the project manager as necessary.
  2. Demonstrate a strong commitment to commercial risk management and prioritize the health, safety, and wellbeing of all team members.
  3. Supervise the engineering team and provide support to senior management (i.e., Associate level and above).
  4. Ensure alignment with client values in all aspects of work.
  5. Contribute to technical excellence by possessing a comprehensive understanding of design standards and engineering principles across various sectors, applied both internally and externally.
  6. Generate a significant portion of the work required to meet team objectives while fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  7. Provide coaching and mentorship to promote teamwork and staff wellbeing, including reviewing and providing feedback on the work of junior engineers.
