Position Overview

Role: Band 2 Administrative Support Specialist

Hours: 18 hours per week, Permanent

We are looking for a dedicated Administrative Support Specialist to join our Medical Wards team. This is a permanent part-time role that involves providing essential support across various wards.

In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Ward team, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality administrative assistance to the Ward Manager, medical personnel, and the wider team, as well as coordinating with other departments, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties within the clinical setting, including record management, filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence and case notes.
  • Keep precise records of bed management activities, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Manage incoming telephone inquiries and relay pertinent messages as required.
  • Organize patient appointments and ensure they are well-informed about the details.
