OverviewAssist the depot manager in making informed credit and risk decisions, ensuring timely payments from customers while maintaining a positive business relationship. Minimize depot credit risk and maximize cash flow by effectively managing new account credit applications and resolving potential issues.
Main Duties- Understand and adhere to the company's credit control policy.
- Process orders over credit, release orders from credit authorization, and liaise with Head Office as needed.
- Communicate with customers to arrange payment collection.
- Process new account credit applications and implement accuracy in checking account paperwork.
- Identify and clarify customer terms and limits.
- Conduct credit checks and asset checks for new customers.
- Obtain signatories from internal management as required.
- Set up new accounts on the Trinity GUI.
- Review weekly aged debt reports and participate in weekly account manager reviews.
- Report back to Head Office on a weekly basis, completing provided reports to monitor debts.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Process cash postings and credit limit increase requests.
- Deal with bounced payments and resolve customer queries.
- Identify and escalate depot bad debt to Head Office for collection.
- Perform various administrative duties within the office, including confirmation, sorting post, filing, and processing orders.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
