We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assurance Specialist to join our team at Utility People Ltd. As a Technical Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the technical integrity of our water industry projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical assurance and effective ownership of solution risk within the Assets directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Strategic Technical Partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience through efficient solution development and risk management.
  • Challenge asset standards and improve design guidelines to promote technical excellence.
  • Implement technical governance processes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Promote innovation and alternative methods in water industry projects to drive business growth.
  • Embed technical maturity and low-carbon solution principles to minimize environmental impact.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members to drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the water industry or equivalent education/experience.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional body.
  • Experience in water/waste-water process engineering design/construction.
  • Project Management and Engineering expertise.
  • Experience in regulated and operational environments.
  • Promote a safety culture and drive innovation to improve business outcomes.
  • Lead team initiatives and support team development to enhance overall performance.
  • Ensure efficient solution development through TOTEX hierarchy and implement technical governance processes.

  • Up to £69,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent benefits package.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including x2 days per week in office – Essex base or Durham base.
