P+S Personnel Services Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to enhance our operational team.


The primary objective is to implement comprehensive maintenance strategies across the facility while supporting the Maintenance Manager in daily operational tasks.

This role is crucial in fostering a high-performance manufacturing environment and ensuring optimal plant maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the routine operations of a dynamic machining and manufacturing environment.
  • Address maintenance issues, breakdowns, and project initiatives.
  • Develop asset management plans and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules in accordance with equipment specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Engineers, and Production Operatives through clear communication.
  • Conduct thorough fault analysis on essential production machinery.
  • Plan and execute repair, enhancement, and preventive maintenance tasks on all production apparatus.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in plant operations, equipment, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies within the designated area.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
  • Support Planned Maintenance efforts during production downtimes.
  • Develop and revise maintenance and equipment operational procedures.
  • Organize and maintain all asset-related documentation.

Candidate Profile:

  • A qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential, with mechanical and process skills being highly advantageous.
  • Minimum ONC or equivalent apprenticeship training complemented by relevant practical experience.
  • Comprehensive exposure to maintenance, repairs, and mechanical engineering practices.
  • A proactive, confident individual with a strong CAN-DO attitude.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Proficient in fault diagnosis.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Working Hours:

  • 07:30 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday and 07:30 – 13:00 Friday
